The Stillwater Community Center Foundation (aka, Friends) is a 501(c)3 corporation whose mission is to provide supplemental resources for the Stillwater Community Center and mutually beneficial affiliated facilities and operations to ensure their accessibility, affordability and sustainability for the use by the residents and visitors of Stillwater and surrounding area.  What that means is we are here to ensure the Stillwater Community Center remains here.  We are here to ensure it doesn’t get neglected and go into disrepair.  We are here to ensure the building remains a viable and relevant part of the community.  We are here ensure the residents and visitors to Stillwater are aware the building is here and available for gatherings of all kinds.  We are here to ensure the hallways of the building are never really empty but filled with people and busy with activity and events.  We are here to ensure developers and interested parties are aware the building has potential to serve a variety of needs—it just needs a little investment.  We are here to ensure the history of the building is never forgotten, while the future of the building is always looking forward and never backwards.  We are a group of residents with long ties in the community.  Some of us are alumni of the building when it was a school.  Some of us are invested in the building because of the activities we are involved in here.  Some of us just care about the potential the building holds and would like to see it fulfill that potential.

The Foundation consists of trustees and volunteers (let's just call them Friends). This Board or Trustees manages and controls the business and activities of the Foundation for the purpose of fulfilling our purpose and mission.
