Equipment Available to be Sponsored
Equipment sponsors will have the option to select a specific themed gala table. They will receive prominent mention at all Classic Cinema and First Friday Fantasy screenings. Equipment sponsors can also purchase additional tables or tickets.
Bigger Screen – The existing theater screen size and aspect ratio is not well suited for older films nor the newer “made for TV” movies. It is a 220” diagonal 16:9 aspect ratio, rear projection screen with a tenuous raising and lowering mechanism. The recommended bigger screen is 255” diagonal, 16:10 aspect ratio screen which will increase viewing area for classic films by 41% and modern made for TV movies by a whopping 56%.
Projector – The existing theater projector does not have the “brightness” (i.e. lumens) nor lens to deliver a high-quality image on the existing screen, and is inadequate to fill a new, bigger screen. The recommended new projector has 50% more lumens and projects from the front, delivering a high quality, bright image. It will provide a much better viewing experience for all viewers in the theater.
LAC Supplemental Sound System – The acoustics in the Lowry Activity Center are difficult to manage without a sophisticated control system and speaker system. The current system has adequate volume, but the “quality” is poor. The recommended sound system is portable and will be set up and operated by the SCCF for SCCF events. The new system will significantly enhance the acoustic experience for audiences.
