Troubadour thursday
The Stillwater Community Center Foundation is proud to join with the OSU Music Industry department to present Troubadour Thursday. This free event is open to anyone interested in sharing their music or just listening. This local singer-songwriter showcase takes place at 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of every month in room 121 (just south of the auditorium) of the Stillwater Community Center.
All local singer/songwriters are invited to come share their music and talent! We would love to see you there!
Songwriting Workshop
Join us just ahead of Troubadour Thursday, from 5:15 to 7:15 PM in room 121, for a monthly songwriting workshop lead by Monty Harper and Clint Clausing.
Deepen your songwriting skills! We provide constructive feedback on songs in progress, in-depth discussion on songwriting techniques, and exercises and examples to get your creativity flowing. All styles, genres, ages, and skill levels are welcome.
If you wish to receive feedback, please bring a song you’re still making changes to. We’ll hold a positive, structured conversation designed to give you exactly the feedback you need. Please send a .pdf copy of your lyrics ahead of time to Monty Harper (monty@montyharper.com).
