Spartanburg Community College Students Receive Over $35,000 in Scholarships
Each year the Spartanburg Community College Foundation receives scholarship funds from higher education supporters that help qualified students achieve their educational and career goals. Over 30 scholarships were available for the fall 2011 semester, and $35,425 in scholarship funds were awarded to current SCC students from local individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses.
"We are very proud of these students for their accomplishments. We're also grateful for the important contributions made by our benefactors that positively impact our students, their futures and the future of this community," said Dr. Para M. Jones, SCC president.
